Fraud Alerts

The CIO Sherpa Council actively monitors and investigates any misuse of its name, branding, or leadership initiatives. It has come to our attention that fraudulent actors have attempted to exploit our reputation by distributing false invitations, award recognitions, event listings, and promotional offers in our name.

Such scams may include the unauthorized use of our logos, creation of fake profiles claiming affiliation with our Council, false promises of awards or speaking slots, or requests for payment in exchange for participation. These activities are not sanctioned by the CIO Sherpa Council.

If you receive any unsolicited or questionable communication that appears to misuse our brand, we urge you to report it immediately by emailing fraudalert@ciosherpacouncil.org. Please attach any relevant screenshots, documents, or email headers so our team can take corrective action and notify legal authorities where necessary.

The CIO Sherpa Council reserves the right to pursue legal and reputational remedies against any party misrepresenting our organization. Protecting our members, stakeholders, and the integrity of our programs is our top priority.
